Though they look Japanese, Ex-Girl claim they hail from the planet Kero Kero, where they crafted their signature blend of sugary space rock, psychedelic synth-pop, and jarring noise rock, with jagged three-part harmony layered on top. In 1999, they set out to conquer the U.S., landing in Baltimore to deliver their sonic message to AtomicTV’s otaku correspondents Tom Warner and Dave Cawley during an appearance at the original Ottobar on Davis Street.
